    I started taking Plaquenil, and I'm supposed to be taking two 200mg pills a day, but I'm only taking one for a week to ease into it. So far I've woken up every morning very nauseous and with a lot of stomach pain and fatigue early in the day plus diarhea. I heard the side effects go away after a. I ran out of my Plaquenil RX for about a week or so. I wasn't worried because I still had a few and would only have to miss a few doses. I may have missed one day with both doses. I'm back with my RX filled. Something just clicked with me. My knees, butt and back have been killing me the past few days. Moreso than in an ordinary fashion. I ran out of Plaquenil on September 12, 2009, AM Was only given an initial dose of 2 x 200mg daily, and because I started at 1 x 200 mg daily due to the side affects felt punched in stomach and terribly upset stomach, thought I had plenty "in stock".
