How longbto take plaquenil after alcohol

I started Plaquenil last week and so far the side effects are dizziness, nausea and tummy feeling weird. I was just wondering has long it takes to adjust and if taking twice the dose will result in higher discomfort.

New guidelines for plaquenil macuopathy 2018 Hydroxychloroquine sulphate 200mg side effects

Plaquenil is a 6-weeker as far as the benefits are concerned, but it would be more dangerous to stop if you spend a lot of time outside and if this were the summer. If you're gonna experiment, I went off it cold turkey as it didn't hurt to do it that way, but you better get back on before the summer or you could experience a flare-up. Hydroxychloroquine is taken in tablet form, with or after food. Your doctor will advise you about the correct dose. Usually you will start on a full dose of 200–400 mg daily, and later your doctor may reduce this. When your condition is very well controlled you may be advised to take hydroxychloroquine only 2–3 times per week. Taking Plaquenil long-term or at high doses may cause irreversible damage to the retina of your eye. Stop taking Plaquenil and call your doctor at once if you have trouble focusing, if you see light streaks or flashes in your vision, or if you notice any swelling or color changes in your eyes.

Also, any tips on how to keep up with taking them on schedule? I have to take Plaquenil, Naturethroid and Vitamin D, everyday . I'm having lots of trouble falling asleep (been having it for a while), not sure if it's getting worse due to the pills.
